Swim/Wet bag

It’s pool season! Whether you swim at the gym, pool, lake, or sea, you will love the convenience of storing your wet swimming suit or clothes in this bag after a day in the water.

Learned skills: ruler work, basic sewing, zipper installation

Pattern: The pattern will be handed out in class. The pattern kit, which includes the pattern and box ruler needed to make the bag, is included in the class price.

We keep necessary supplies for classes on hand and appreciate your purchase. All supplies listed below can be purchased at the shop or HERE

• Main fabric
  • 1/2 yard Quilting cotton fabric (can be purchased at the shop) or 100% tightly woven cotton
  • Directional prints will require additional fabric

• Coordinating Fabric
  
  • 1/4 yard Quilting cotton fabric (can be purchased at the shop) or 100% tightly woven cotton

• Lining
  • 1/2 yard waterproof lining is included in the price of the class

• Interfacing
  
  • 1/2 yard Pellon SF101 

• Other needed supplies:
  • 40-inch zipper or zipper tape by the yard with coordinating pull
  • Washaway zipper tape
  • Box Ruler – which is included in the pattern kit for this class
  • Coordinating polyester thread

• Sewing tools:
  • Only if you have one, bring a Teflon presser foot
  • zipper foot
  • walking foot
  • Clips (clips are a must for this project, you will need about 25)
  • Pins
  • Zipper jig
  • Point turner
  • Scissors
  • General sewing ruler
  • Sewing machine – foot pedal, power cord, manual 
  • Basic sewing supplies (thread, scissors, seam ripper, etc.)

Class Registration & Policies

Your place in the class is secured once payment is received.

Class fees are refundable up to seven (7) days before the class begins, minus the cost of any book, pattern, or CD included in your class fee. There are no refunds for cancellations made less than seven (7) days before the class begins.

All refunds will be issued using the original payment method (cash, credit, etc.).

Please note: Our classes are designed for adults and are not open to students under the age of 18.
