Sun Brim Bucket Hat

Have fun in the sun and learn to make a custom sun hat with a brim that fits your needs.

Pattern: will be handed out in class. The pattern cost is included in the class price.

Supplies: All supplies listed below can be purchased at the shop or HERE

• Main fabric
  • 1/2 yard of quilting cotton fabric, 100% tightly woven cotton, or canvas
  • Directional prints will require additional fabric

• Lining fabric
  • This hat is reversible, so your lining fabric will be seen as a part of the design.
  • 1/2 yard of contrasting Quilting cotton fabric or 100% tightly woven cotton
  • Directional prints will require additional fabric

• Other hat-making supplies:
  • Pellon 987F Fusible fleece – 3/8 yard
  • Coordinating thread: Pick one thread color that will work best with your main and lining fabrics. The thread color is also a design element. Consider whether you want your thread color to blend in or stand out.

• Sewing tools:
  • Frixion / Heat erase fabric marking pen
  • Clips and or pins
  • Point turner
  • Scissors, rotary cutter
  • Personal-size cutting mat that will fit within your allotted sewing workspace
  • Measuring tape
  • Extra bobbins – if needed
  • Sewing machine – foot pedal, power cord, manual
  • Basic sewing supplies (thread, scissors, seam ripper, etc.)

Your place in the Class is held as soon as we receive your payment.

The class fees are refundable up to seven (7) days before the class begins, MINUS the cost of any book, pattern, or CD you may have received as part of your class fee. There are no refunds if you cancel less than seven (7) days before the class begins.

All refunds are given via the manner in which you paid (cash, credit, etc.).
